Could it be that many of them are out jogging bc their gyms are closed.

Some, yes

Others because their jobs are closed and it’s a good healthy way to spend time at the expense of a pair of shoes (cheap if actually using them for an activity)

There is a Chappelle show skit about this exact situation with reparations.

I got new tennis shoes and gf new running and tennis shoes as we both have been more active outdoors instead of going to restaurants.

I bought some $40 Asics online a few weeks ago and turned my old ones into yard shoes. Just doing my part.

Those people aren't getting their shoes at footlocker.

Where are they getting them?

Outside of dedicated running stores, the only places with a large selection of running shoes around here is Footlocker and Dick's Sporting Goods.

Albuquerque New Mexico.

Is the list really that much longer in the bustling metropolis you call home?

I've been reselling shoes for fun. There's a decent amount of profit in it. Resale market is booming.

I worked at Foot Locker after Katrina. It was insane how much business that store did. Lots of Red Cross cards swiped.

It won't. But watch 4th qtr when retailers can't get merchandise to sell. The supply chain from China was cut off for a month or two, and the month of Sept is when the Christmas orders should be in transit to the US stores.

Ya, it is. And your city is twice the size of mine.

DSW, REI (starting this weekend), Mast General Store, Sportsman's Warehouse, and Hibbets off the top of my head.

Now if you want a good selection of basketball shoes, you go to Foot Locker.

We have these, but their selection of running shoes is tiny compared to Footlocker or Dick's unless you're looking for trail-running shoes (REI and Sportsman's Warehouse). Most of DSW's shoes are athleisure instead of athletic.
