don't they give away prime free to students? I'm surprised they want that much for WIC users. 5.99 a month is still pretty high

Yeah really high. Almost as high as a pack of Newport 100's.

Because the majority of folks on welfare already have jobs and are white. But that doesn't fit the narrative of "lol, look at the dindus buying rims with the food stamps" that you tell like to tell your buddies for a cheap laugh and a pat on the butt.

Plus, you know, the Bible and stuff.

Ezekiel 16:49
“‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen."

You are overcome with sin and I'll pray for you.

I hardly think that $94/year they are saving is causing poor people to be complacent in their lot in life.

In your complacency to do math, you failed to notice the discount isn't $94.00 per year.

I'm sure amazon is offering the discounted membership because they realize that many of the people on welfare have poor spending habits, thus increasing sales from impulse buys. It's just a means to get more people in the proverbial door.
It's the same concept that casinos use to get gamblers I. The door by offering free or greatly discounted rooms.

I'm beyond angry. frick amazon.

I've had prime for years and never received a break. In fact, it's increased, and I still paid it.

Now Amazon is going to punish me for being a productive member of society.

frick you. And frick prime. And frick welfare.

Old people too? They have no work requirement for their food stamps.

BTW, I only pay $49 a year for my Prime membership. Split it with a friend.

Ding. Ding. Amazon is all about making money. Plus this concept makes them look (to non-business savvy folk) like great stewards of humanity.

Variable pricing

This is what I have a problem with. Special pricing for certain individuals. I know it's a minimal amount for Amazon but where will the line be drawn. I can see the ads now. "Come on into Apple at the Mall of Louisiana and show your Food Stamp Card for your federal assistant discount on your new 27" iMac."

Just because I can afford it doesn't mean I should pay more.

Until Amazon can deliver the boiled crawfish still hot, I doubt food stamp users will want it

you should be banned for using the racist d word, blaspheming against the bible (Jesus hated people who didn't work, he flipped over the food stamp tables in the temple)

But mostly just for being a little bitch
