my buddy from New Zealand turned me on to vegemite and sardine sandwiches many years ago. My wife won’t buy either of those things for the cupboard. When camping without her, though, I buy all the canned shite I want.

Wife loves all the jars of pickled vegetables and will stink up the truck with it on road trips.

There's 2 still operating in the N.O. vicinity. One on Lapalco in Gretna and the other on Clearview in Metairie.

My favorite from them is the thin sliced roast beef, oven roasted potatoes with au jus and some sort of hot greens.
