I can't bring myself to do it yet. I think I'm going to do it before going on vacation.

That way I have a week to get used to it and allow it to get some sun so it doesn't look weird.

At 43. Used Rogaine topical for about 15 years and it did pretty well. Could have gone a few years longer, but nah. Use a 1.5 blade. Looks good. Oh, and women like to pet it.

I went to a hairdresser friend and asked if she had any suggestions other than just buzz cutting. She said, nope.

Went home and cut it with a Number 1 guard.

It's really not that bad at all.

Its alot cooler, only takes a couple secs to wash, no time to dry. No time to fix.

Just have to cut it often. Get yourself a pair of corded wahl trimmers for 40 bucks and your haircuts will be free for years to come.

Around 38 years old. Girl I was chasing said I should shave it with a no. 1 blade. She ended up marrying me.

I started preparing for this about 18 years ago when I started clipping my hair with the #2 comb. Only now is my hair starting to thin at the crown. I might have jumped the gun a little bit. No bald spots yet though and no receding hairline (still looks like a full head of hair). Everyone is used to seeing me with super short hair already, so it will be a smooth transition.

This is true. When you look in the mirror and say, "Not too bad." Then, look at a picture and say, "frick, I'm bald." You know it's time to shave it.

This is where I’m at. Hair looks fine in mirror and hairline is still ok, but any pictures from behind or above show some serious scalp at the crown.

Get you some Wahl balding clippers and just buzz it. You won't regret it. It looks better than the monkey butt and it's hassle free.

Comb-overs are trashier than neck/face tats so many years ago I elected to buzz cut and avoid the tat fad.

It’s time to embrace it brother. All the way down to a #1 guard, it looks so much better than what I had when I was still holding out.
