Moreno will at least show up for the job and try to make the city functional. Some of you have no idea how bad LaToya has been since Covid. She’s done absolutely nothing but travel and show up for a few photo ops.

She made so many deals with black voting blocks she will end up serving them rather than the working folks to whom the city is economically hostile.

She is another dilettante.

And that accident was never fully investigated. One witness recanted.

Africa is what it is because of Africans. New Orleans is what it is because of its people too.

Every shitty place on Earth is because of the people that live there.

This and this is reason normal people are voting for her.

Some of you kept wish casting for years that nothing would ever happen to Latoya.

Now she gets indicted and you all want to move the goalposts.

I don’t agree much with Moreno or Royce D but they’re both significantly different than Latoya in that they aren’t drains of negative energy.

Shreveport elected a white Republican mayor. It also has a functioning criminal justice system.

Baton Rouge did the same last November. It’s like google isn’t a thing for some on this board.

The comments supporting her on FB show just how dumb the local population is. They do not care what she did because she is black. It is fricking crazy.

Helena estimated she was going about 35 to the cop. It was never actually verified that she was speeding,

Not that it makes much difference but I’d venture she’s prone to low ball that speed not high ball it

Unfortunately, you have to settle for what you can get as mayor of NOLA. If Moreno does 60% of the things you agree with, then vote for her. I would say that right now she is the best choice. I think she will do less harm than good.

Are any of the other candidates competent?

I wish Brees would have run. Everyone would fall in line with whatever Breesus says

The bar is so incredibly low

Not talk of what someone will try to do, or how well it will go but simply that they will try to do anything

She hit somebody that ran a red light. At least do a little bit of research before you start spouting nonsense. Moreno would actually be a big upgrade for the city. She actually cares and has some decent ideas.

Yall can talk all yall want, yall are putting another woman in charge, the city will remain a shithole.

Across the country we see women in leadership positions they have no business being involved with.

This chick was a tv anchor so it qualifies her to be mayor? Yall are fricking crazy. Good luck on the inevitable failure of the city. Also, yall want a Mexican woman running NOLA? Now I know yall been hitting the bottle hard.

At this point this just adds to the entertainment value that is the NOLA soap opera.

It's kind of like watching a train wreck.

Moreno seems like she actually cares about the city and is pretty competent. I don’t live in New Orleans but she’d be the one I would get behind. I’ve also met her a few times and she was nice. My first and only interaction with Latoya was about a week after she was elected and the vibe on her was bad even then. Still hoped for the best because vibes don’t mean shite, but in that case it was true.

Yes, 35 in a 25 is speeding but you're implying she was going much faster.

She hit another car that had run a red light.

Accident wasn't her fault.
