Flying formosan termites already tonight on Dauphin Island

It seems early this year. Usually happens every year around memorial day.
I hate these things.I guess the best thing to do is turn all my lights off?

Doesn’t matter if you turn your lights off. They are attracted to heat. If youre the hottest thing in the room theyll make a bee line towards you as soon as they find a way inside the house

frickers swarmed the house last night. Had one drop on me, freaked me TF out. Vacuumed up dead and live ones last night.

Swarmed us in the garage playing poker last night right at Dusk in Ft Morgan. Reverse ventilation, cigar smoke, and a rain shower helped.

I haven't noticed them yet in Metairie. Normally my neighborhood is swarming with them. I thought maybe the cooler weather we've been having has been keeping them dormant or something.

I thought they usually showed up in early May or around Mother's Day? I wonder if this frickton of rain is going to affect them.

Saw a small number around the street lights. Maybe the weather is deterring them.
