I've never taken the shot, ever, I never caught the long flu...had it back in 2000 for about 3 days I think....haven't had real flu since I was a kid...

Imo, the shot is dangerous imo

The shot propaganda is collusion between the CIA and Big Pharma. I've never had it. I never get the flu. I am invincible.

What are your thoughts on the shot, Nurse?

I agree with the CDC...everyone over 6 months old should get the flu shot unless they are not able to due to legit medical reasons.

And don't give me some bullshite about how healthy you are and that you don't need the shot. While the shot isn't 100% effective, it still protects you from having a more severe case of the flu if you happen to catch the flu. Also...it isn't just about YOUR health. It is about the people around you. The people you could spread the flu to before you even realize you have the flu. Like babies and young children in your household, elderly relatives you visited, or friends and family with other medical conditions you hang out with. People that could potentially die if they got the flu.

Quit being a bunch of pussies on here and just get the fricking flu shot.

How do you know she didn't get the flu shot? You can still get the flu even if you get the flu shot.

So? You're much more likely to get it if you don;t.

You dumb frick, flu shots did nothing last year.

The Flu was one of the nastier strains in recent years and took several deaths per state. But continue to preach a-hole.

Why is the flu so much of a bigger deal now than when I was a kid? Nobody used to get the flu shot and I never met anyone that died from the flu.

I am 41. I have had the flu once since high school. 2013! The only year I got the flu shot since high school. It was really bad, too! I felt like I was dead for 2 weeks.

...not saying the shot gave me the flu. I don't believe in that idea.

I don't understand this board obsession and hatred for flu shots

Generally the shot doesn't prevent the flu but it does significantly reduce symptoms for a lot of people if they come into contact with it.

Some people do have reactions to shot, thats not a debate, generally most don't but this can be said about any medication/drug

I trust my own immune system. I think much of it is marketing hype. I am 50 years old and haven't had the flu since I was a child. I get exposed to a lot of sick people and I think that has given me some level of immunity too.

80% of the children who died of the flu last season...had not gotten the flu shot.

Some protection against the flu is better than no protection. Again...studies have shown that if you get the flu shot and do get the flu....you will have a much less severe case of it than if you didn't get the shot at all.

Looks like you are the dumb frick.

Load of bullshite. The flu virus mutates so quickly from season to season so there is no way to be immune from the flu without the shot. So being around a lot of sick people doesn't give you immunity to the flu. It just increases your odds of getting the flu. Even more reason to get the shot.

Bunch of pussies that don't want to admit they are scared of a little needle poke. So instead they hide behind their excuses as why they won't get the shot.

You flu shot pushers come of a bit like a cult. If people would just back off a bit I might get one but I can’t trust it when I feel like it’s being forced on me.

To be fair...when I was single I went on a couple dates with a guy(this was in 2007). His mother had recently suddenly died from complications from the flu a couple months prior to our date. Had no other medical history prior to it. She was in her early 50s when she died.

I already got my flu shot this year. Had heard from others that this year's shot makes your arm a little more sore than previous years. So I got my shot on a friday afternoon at work so I would be off that weekend and not at work with a sore arm. Had no issues with it at all. Just the tiniest amount of soreness the next day but nothing major.

Seriously these flu antivaxxers are the reason we’re seeing new cases of the flu for the first time in 50 years
