You flu shot pushers come of a bit like a cult. If people would just back off a bit I might get one but I can’t trust it when I feel like it’s being forced on me.
Sounds like a giant excuse to me.
Proving my point...grown men afraid of a little needle

I'm more afraid of what is in the vaccine that the needle. Shots don't bother me.

I still don't have the flu. How many people has your hospital given MRSA this week?

Is that honestly what you take away from his comments?

My boss is a well respected, highly educated pediatric infectious disease physician. Pediatricians consult him for his expert opinion on infectious diseases.
If he strongly recommends getting the flu shot...then I get the flu shot.

You do realize that MRSA is very common in the community? Quit trying to treat it as something you only get in the hospital.

Seriously these flu antivaxxers are the reason we’re seeing new cases of the flu for the first time in 50 years

I get it if they come to my office but I’m not going out of my way for it. Never had flu in 39 years here

It isn't in my community, but I know a couple of people who got it in a hospital

Dude...MRSA is everywhere
ETA: A small percentage of the population are MRSA carriers and don't even realize it.

Get your shots.
Just did mine and the baby's Wednesday. I really don't understand why people refuse to get them.

What happened to the vaccine you squirt up your nose. That would be a lot better than jabbed with a railroad spike.

I've heard the flu is supposed to be really bad this season.
can you imagine a scenario in which the people selling the "cure" to the flu would tell you that this year's flu season will be the least worrisome in years?
does the host of the bachelorette ever start the show by telling you that this will be the "least dramatic season" in years?
wake up, sheeps

Exactly.
Most people DON'T understand. At least you are smart enough to admit what you don't understand.
Do some research, and then make up your mind

It was found to not be as effective as the shot.
Although....I did read this year the CDC approved bringing back the flumist for this flu season. So they must have made major changes.
I would just get the shot. Not everyone can get the flumist anyways, since unlike the shot, it is a live virus vaccine.
