You do realize that no vaccine, ever, is 100% effective?
Lol love the excuses

Also...tamiflu is not always indicated. All depends how long you have had the flu.
And has side effects. A relative had a psychotic reaction to it. It's banned in Japan because of this.

I've gotten my flu shot at Walgreens before. Got it when I went to pick up medication
why would you have to get it at Walgreens?

Cause at the time...I still worked nights at the hospital and didn't want to either stay over after my shift and wait in a long line with all the other night shift employees at employee health when they open at 7:30 am or drive all the way to work on my day off to get a shot from employee health.
Much easier then to just get it at Walgreens when I already was there.

gotcha. My mom got it at Walgreens cause she was afraid of getting sick going to the doctors office.

Based off of your hissy fits in flu shot threads, it makes you an advanced child (think 10yr old in 6th grade).
Btw, you don't get to blame other causes of death on the flu, just because someone has the flu when they die. The girl in the OP obviously had a preexisting condition, which was the cause of her demise.
How was last year the deadliest year on record if people have been getting the flu shot in record numbers? Is it possible that it doesn't work, or does more harm than good for society as a whole?
I don't even know how to even respond to a statement like this

What you have children and still won’t get a flu shot??
I thought parents do anything they can to protect their children?
Guess you just don’t care enough do you?
Just wanted to bump this thread to say that i did not get a flu shot, something i've never done, and have never had the flu.
My two kids got the shot, and my wife did as well.
Guess who got the flu this year in my family and who didn't?
Literally all three of them got the flu. I did not.
riddle me that.
I guess i'm a bad person though b/c a few days after my kids got it, i met with my boss and he ended up with the flu 2 days later.

Maybe, maybe not. But it does make you a literal retard for thinking the flu shot either caused or increased the risk of your family getting the flu.

HAHA i'm not insinuating their chances were increased by getting the shot. That's retarded.
Just pointing out the fact that they received the flu shot, yet still got the flu, and i did not receive it, and did not get the flu.

Fake news, she was working as a lawyer, she clearly had no heart.

Sigh...she clearly had other issues going on.
Just like the "healthy" 21 year old who supposedly died from the flu. The kid went over a day with fever and flu symptoms before he took action. He was working as a mover carrying couches, working out etc..

Friend of mine went to a Mardi Gras ball on Friday night before Super Bowl. Sunday 26 people including him had the flu.

holy shite I need a vaccine now from reading this thread.

What if she had some other condition that they arent disclosing.

I've never had a flu shot.
I've never had the flu.
I do have somewhat of a cold right now though. Hopefully it doesn't turn into the flu.

quote:We have averaged an estimated 20-35,000 influenza-related deaths since the 70s.
Why is the flu so much of a bigger deal now than when I was a kid? Nobody used to get the flu shot and I never met anyone that died from the flu.
The i formation available is based on estimations due to the difficulty attributing the cause to influenza, especially when old records are concerned.
The flu itself is rarely what kills the individual. It tends to just be the initial event.
It complicates the ability to determine the cause of death, especially in the past.
We are seeing numbers increase, but Scruffy believes that is due to the ease of testing for the flu now and to the improvement in record keeping, and, well, the general improvement in medical science.
Considering the death tolls seen with He major flu epidemics (Spanish Flu, Asian Flu, etc.), the yearly death toll is remarkably small.
