A Florida man is accused of killing a man the day after being released from jail because of fears that coronavirus could spread in corrections facilities, authorities said Tuesday.

Edward Williams, 26, of Tampa, was arrested Monday and is facing charges of second-degree murder, gun possession, violently resisting an officer, drug possession and paraphernalia possession, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

Makes sense. Outside of extenuating circumstances, no reason that person should be held in detention pretrial.

Snitches get stitches. Or in this case, a casket.

Normally, I am an advocate that people shouldn't be serving long term prison sentences over simple drug possession charges. While I do stand by that, I do recognize some of the people in jail for drug charges have likely done heavier crimes but they just havent been caught yet.

The pos from this story likely falls in the latter. This is probably not his first body, only the first time being caught.

Every time he has to face consequences for his actions, it’s not because he did something wrong but because the system is built to oppress him... lol

Ok, I mean I get releasing dudes for drug offenses if they're not repeat offenders, but...

1) I'm sure this dude had a long sheet

2) There should be an exception for face tats. I don't care if you're in for unlawful assembly, you have face tattoos, you do full time.

Wow, I can't believe this happened. He looks completely trustworthy- completely not like a veteran convict at all.
