I can write a check for 1MM.

Having 10% of your net worth liquid seems like a lot, but reasonable. So net worth north of 10MM to be considered a millionaire...noted.


Maybe money market accounts can change this some. But unless you are a market person even that is a lot of risk.

Ok. Your assets make you a millionaire.

Something like 10% of Americans are.

So being a top earner in the US for a decade or two should put you in that category.
