Weird that there was no reaction from anyone. He clearly lost his parachute at launch which you would think would begin to worry people on the ground, but even after he cratered into the desert no one really reacts. No screaming, no omg’s or anyone running to the site.

There were screams, not sure what you were watching, but overall I agree. I didn’t see anyone running to the scene of the crash.

He’s been at this for years. He wasn’t going to stop trying to fly rigged-up death traps until he proved the earth was flat. It was really just a matter of time before one of them ended his life.

Him bringing evidence back was never a worry, so I'm going with "fail".

Gd calculations were little off on parachute deployment.

The guy fate was sealed when the chute fell off.

He died for what he believed in. So gotta give him that.

There weren’t any screams when he lost it at the launch. Maybe people thought he’d have a backup. How the hell do you not have a backup parachute.

He had the balls to get in a homemade rocket. Smart? Not so much. But balls.

I mean damn he could have just rented a hot balloon or helicopter.

Proving the Earth is flat is easy.

Just keep walk straight until you to the edge.

He got decently high. I wonder if at some point at the apex of his ascent did he look out the window and notice the gentle curvature of the horizon and go “well shite.”
