Must've missed this fad. I've never heard of these until reading this thread. So I googled and they just look like regular jeans. What was the big deal about them? Were they just another brand of jeans from the 80s like jordache or guess?

Big in the 90's. I had several pair, actually liked them. Would still wear them.

We bought a pair of these for my daughter last Friday when I got another pair of New Balance. She’s in 6th grade and from what she says it’s what all the girls are wearing.

I don’t know if they’re still popular with boys. I don’t think they are though because I’ve never seen my son or any of his friends wear them as far as I know.

For girls, sure.

When I was in K-12 ages, those were what trashy dudes wore.

Now I'm 31 and wear mine all the time

They last forever as well.

Had a pair I bought in 2006 last until a year ago.

Yep. Just as I was replacing one pair of New Balance for another, my daughter was replacing one pair of Chucks for another. They were still in good shape she has just outgrown them.

Ok. I don’t think I’ve seen any men wearing them lately but I’ll take your word for it. I was basing my assessment only on what my son and his friends wear. They tend to stick with wearing cowboy boots at times and Nike at others.

They are very comfortable. It’s my go to shoe when I know I have to do a ton of walking but don’t want to wear athletic shoes.

If you see a guy wearing them down here... he probably goes the other way or has a Bernie sticker (or both).

Your son sounds like a baw in training. Baws don't wear low top chucks.

Not the case here. I know lots of straight men (that voted for Trump) that wear chucks.

Well, he’s studying to eventually be an underwater welder.
