It is one of those things that shouldn't lead a news weather segment. Can it be an issue pretty much anywhere? Yes. It came into play in Louisiana during the hell Summer of 2023, early on when the ridge built and took over. It is a defined, real term that can influence decisions that most people will never have to make.
