Seems like a lot of tax payer money being spent on someone whose business paid none.

The flags are not being lowered in honor and to show respect for his business. They are being lowered to show respect and to honor the man. And the man paid taxes.

Or are you so stupid that you thought religious figures don't have to pay income tax?

this is not specific to Billy Graham at all but nonprofits/charities/churches/etc that are tax exempt can buy an awful lot of things for use that would in effect negate the need for the owners of said institutions to take a taxable salary to buy luxury items

Well, it didn't cost taxpayer money, but it certainly cost your company about 45 minutes of your time

I truly believe in separation of state and government. But Graham has contributed to all presidents since what? Ford? It doesn't bother me.

You have to be a special kind of retard to spend 45 minutes trying to figure out how a flagpole works...

Two things. First off like anyone who uses a write-off and business he's going to have to need to justify if called upon. Secondly in other words he used the tax system to his Advantage like we all do. He doesn't make the rules he just follows them.

So you admit that they have to pay income tax. Glad we're on the same page.

I’ve never understood how anyone can on one hand say they support “seperation of Church and state” but on the other hand want churches and religious organizations to pay taxes. Where’s the logic in that?
