Watched some YT videos of people plinking at Iguanas. Are they invasive and disruptive? Looked like fun. Also can you eat them?

They’re a huge problem in south Florida.

We don’t have them in central Florida because it gets too cold in the winter.

Have legs larger than a nice sized croaker, too. Makes you wonder...

I could drink enough beer to fry some up and try.

They are called Caribbean chicken or something similar. The locals down there eat them regularly.

When I went to Trinidad for work, the local plant guys said if you're talking to someone and they take off after something, they probably saw an iguana. It's a delicacy down there.

I was in Ft. Lauderdale for work, and was blown away by the freaking dinosaurs crossing the street and sidewalks as I walked from the car to restaurants, etc... I am from south Georgia, so I am used to critters, but not used to seeing lizards that are 3 feet long or longer just hanging out in a tree staring at you while you wait to cross at a light.
