When I originally heard about this story it was a 18 year old and her boyfriend. One of the guys with a gun forced the boyfriend to leave the park.

People criticizing the guy, but understand it could have ended up much uglier had he fought them. That's a tough situation. I understand the want to protect no matter what.
He says he tried to tell people to call police, but looks like no one understood or took him serious.
Also, he was having a beer, how much had he had? I just don't know, but at least they have the guys (all but one allegedly) who did this.

So, who knows what this guy did for "20 minutes". Perhaps he looked first for a weapon. Maybe he went door to door in a neighboring housing complex, and no one would lift a hand to help. Maybe he was inebriated. Who knows.
We do know the police have been fairly evasive about clearing his actions up, which is odd

think about the situation... if they did shoot the father... I would really doubt that they would stay around and assault the daughter in the wake guns going off and daughter/father screaming...
