Chimp vs 2 two tigers and a wolf.
My god. The carnage!

What about Bonobos? They'd probably jerk the wolves off, and then easily win.

What do you think a leopard would do to a fricking wolf?
Uhhh... die. Depends on if it's an ambush and the leopard gets the neck immediately or not. If he doesn't get that bite at least he would put some damage on the wolf before he died unlike a chimpanzee. The wolf is going to outlast him, cut him up, wear him out, and ultimately end up eating him.
Leopards take chimps all the time in front of their whole group.

Teamwork - wolf
Chimps work pretty well in teams. You know, they are human's closest animal relative.

It's almost like you think you know shite, when you don't in fact know shite. Chimps only work as a team to attack other chimps/primates. They DO NOT act as an offensive team in the face of a superior predator, much less an equal number of said superior predators.
Put down the Edgar Rice Burroughs kool aid.

That's a good conversation ender.

Chimps cooperate, but would they all focus on one wolf? That's probably what the wolves would try to do as that is how they are programmed. If the wolves would hamstring and all grab hold of one chimp, I think they start to tear it apart, and its screaming would make the other chimps get the hell out of there. Wolves attach for predation-- they kill to stay alive. Remember the rules-- five adults per group on open ground, not parents and young. Rigged fight for the wolves. Chimps are smart enough to know when they do and don't have the numbers. The chimps would be thinking about escape, not trying save their pal. One chimp / one wolf, I might go chimp. Pack on similar pack, wolves.

A wolf would put up an exponentially better fight against a leopard than a chimp would.
Based on what?
Based on the fact that a chimp easily gets his arse eaten by a wolf 10 times out of 10. Transitive property chap.

I took trees out of the equation because that's simply a safe zone to escape to and thus not conducive to promoting a fight. It's not like chimps store projectiles up there and can nuke the wolves from orbit.

Groups of chimps also run off and even injure leopards, too. But yes, one leopard would kill and eat a single chimp. And probably kill and eat a single wolf, too.

Only way the wolves win, is if they pack attack one chimp at a time.
they go 5 v 5 they will get mangled and crushed.
the chimps will literally rip their legs off, once they get a hold of them. they are strong muther farkers.

Everything you said is correct. Everything StrongBackExtremelyWeakMind has said is incorrect.

Actually one chimpanzee could probably tear one wolf's leg off... which would convince the other wolves he isn't fricking around.

Like I said, the Team Chimp Chodes have been watching to much Tarzan The Animated Series while they do their Hooked on Phonics homework after school. Some clown in this thread even indicated he thinks chimps have the intellectual wherewithal to fashion spears and nunchucks from folliage.

Predators will tend to go for the easier prey. If a leopard attacks and kills a chimpanzee, chances are it's not an alpha male who weighs up to 140 pounds.
Wolves are badass no doubt, but they choose their prey too. I watched a documentary where a pack of wolves wouldn't dare attack a healthy female moose who was with her calf. They assessed the situation and said frick that.
People who think that predators are just mindless killers have no idea what they are talking about. If a predatory animal gets hurt, they can't provide for their young and they will die. That's why they don't go around swinging their dicks in the jungle daring every motherfricker to check their paws. The only animal that even comes close to doing that is the male African lion. And that's because he is THE apex predator.
