Team chimp wins going away

Don't know. The locking ability of wolves is not to be messed with. I'm sure the straight ahead speed of the wolf would be more than the chimp although the chimp would have better lateral movement.

Chimps would just climb trees. Wolves would be so full of piss and vinegar that they would turn on each other.

Team Chimps. How is this even a debate. Wolves would have no chance. A chimp would rip a wolf's head off. Chimps have amazing escapability.

You chimp people need some biology lessons.

Leopards eat chimpanzees no problem.

Wolves are apex predators that preyed on humans till humans learned to make spears and projectiles and even then they still ate a lot of humans.

Chimps have about twice the strength of a human. Maybe more but we'll stick with the science and not the myth. They don't have claws and they don't hunt large animals. They fight amongst themselves, but that's not preparation for a 100 lb wolf that's designed to kill shite, get it's face kicked in by elk and buffalo hooves and shake it off and keep on coming back for another bite.

Chimps bleed as bad as we do. Wolves bleed opponents out then outlast them.

This isn't even close.

Wolves.... all day, every day.

If a chimp gets his hands on a wolf, he'd snap his neck and legs like twigs.

Best bet for wolves is to single one chimp out at a time and attack as a group... that's really their best strategy imo

The chimps would scatter. Wolves would work as a pack, concentrate on one, run him down (wolves can run at 40 MPH ), and tear him to shreds. The other chimps would scream from nearby cover while the wolves fed.

If they "knew" they were fighting till the death I would take the chimps. 140 pounds to 110 pounds. If they didn't know they were fighting to the death, I would think the wolves would single out one chimp and kill it while the chimps would run screaming in one direction. By the time they "realized" its a fight to the death they would be outnumbered, then I'd pick the wolves. From what I read chimps are at least twice and maybe 4 times stronger than a human. I figure 5 human males could put up a good fight against 5 wolves, but make them twice as strong and you got something cooking.

A gray wolf is like 30-35 MPH and a chimp is like 25 mph.

Its not like they're chasing down sloths.

A chimp can run 25 MPH? That's amazing, and might be a game changer. Although, a wolf can run 35-40 MPH practically indefinitely. How long chimp run at top speed?

Everyone saying five chimps would beat five wolves on a flat terrain in a presymably enclosed arena are dumb as frick. The wolves would pick them off one at a time as a team and the chimps would scatter each time until they were all dead. The struggle wouldn't last 30 minutes and the wolves wouldn't sustain a single casualty.

you get 5 wolves together and they are out to kill something.

In a fight to the death, which are up close, straight line speed matters very little.. Agility and strength are better indicators of success imo
