Well you’ve failed to properly vet and control the people that have your cell phone number. It doesn’t sound like leadership or communication are your strongest skills.

Well you are wrong again thank you again for the help though.

Again, I'm a small business owner. You say expect calls at all hours is normal and yet now you are saying I need to control who has my number? That's literally impossible.

I have an app that my business number goes to my cell "after hours" when no one is there to answer it. So my "texts" i'm speaking of are actually in an app. Its very easy to manage. Managing my communication is not the issue.

Again it was sarcasm that people are idiots for texting at all times of the day for minor issues when there are better forms of communication.

Here's a great example of how stupid people are. I had a job posting last week and someone sent me a text at 2:30am letting me know that they applied to the job they did say "sorry I know its late at night" though.

Again, easy for me to manage. I'm simply explaining how poor some people are at understanding the proper communication method to use.

I will send an email to my manager after hours if it is something I consider very important, because I may get so involved in work the next day that I will forget. I do occ. compose the email and save it as a draft, put an alarm notice on my phone so I am reminded the next day. I work in a field where some problems can be very costly if not corrected before billing and it deals with federal funds.

I don’t get texts but I do get a solid 30 or so emails a day for my job. 90% of them are either not urgent or unnecessary. If they aren’t urgent I just let it sit and eventually I get to a point through my regular course of action where I’m ready to use/act on whatever is in the email. Basically, I treat email as if it’s old fashioned regular mail that I stack up on my desk, not as a second form of text messaging.

If anyone needs a response from me now, or something is urgent, they can pick up the fricking phone. I always either answer my phone or promptly return calls.

People who send me a follow up email after I have gone a whole 3 days without responding are the worst.

frick email!
