There was nothing that little truck couldn't do. Fricking in the cab was a bitch tho.

In 1989, my grandfather's truck was "passed down" to me. '83 Chevy C10 with a straight 6 and 3 on the tree.

Drove a 1994 Dodge Shadow as my first car. Hand me down from my sister. Lasted another couple years before I received a 1996 Volvo. This was in 2008.

I always parked it and hopped in the passenger seat. Tried in the bed a couple of times, but the bedliner dug into my knees.

Mine got totaled out during Katrina. Tried to buy it back from GEICO, but they wanted 60% of the value of a running one to buy back a totaled truck. Water was up to the airbag, but the only thing wrong with it was that the starter got wet and the fluids had water in them. Put the one from my new truck in it, and it turned over. Couldn't justify spending that much on a truck with a salvage title.

At that point, had a 3" lift, 32x11.50 BFG MTs, BENTUP F&R bumpers, toolbox, and decked out system. It would go damn near anywhere in the mud. Next truck was an 04 v6 TRD 4x4 ext cab, but I'd take the 99 back if I had the choice

So your parents gave you a 92 Mercury in 1997 and 2 years later they gave you a 2001 Pontiac. I bet that 2001 Pontiac was the shite in 1999.

I bought every vehicle I've owned since I was 15. My dad started saving all my lawn mowing money and summer job $ since I was 11.

1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Kept it for about 8 years. (~2010, totaled in a wreck).

Thing was a beast. Only thing that failed was the water pump.

I wish they still had a similar style, would buy another in a heartbeat.
