I’m there, for the twins.
Seriously, she seemed like a genuine person.
If there’s an afterlife, I wish her well in it.

People jokingly like to compare her to GW in looks, but she was once quite hot. George was considered a hero for conquering her.

I know people that worked in that administration. She was as nice as could be. She use to bake cookies and bring them down to the Secret Service working at the gate and tell the Thank You. The next First Lady not so much.
Not an indictment on the next First Lady but kindness does go a long way in this world.

Im pretty sure Ive told my Barbara Bush story on here.

Prayers with her husband, children, grandkids and great-grandkids and those that knew her best

Barbara Bush, Nancy Regan, and Laura Bush were all elegant and well respected first ladies. May she have eternal peace.

I worked for a guy who was in charge of the Marine 1 crew under Bush 41 (he had flown it under Reagan). If I remember his story correctly, Barbara Bush would occasionally prepare breakfast for them in Kennebunkport. My memory is not what it used to be and that guy may also have embellished a bit (not about his service, though), but it seemed like a believable scenario to me. Something about he mannerisms and attitude in public made that seen utterly plausible.
RIP Mrs Bush.
