Some of the best farts of my life. I’ve had 3 colonoscopies.

At 57 years old I have had 2 done and that has not been my experience. You may experience some gas / air after from the procedure itself but I didn't. You will be starving and very tired after go get something you want to eat. There will be no restriction after. Don't sweat this the procedure is nothing, the only bad thing is drinking that nasty stuff.

I am dreading the prep.
If you’re not a fat arse you only have to prep one day from 4pm to midnight

TBob is gay. Dont worry about him. A colonoscopy will save your life.

Honestly, if there is any way to give yourself a day or more after the procedure I think you'll be glad for the additional downtime.
Some people experience cramping and discomfort, your digestive tract needs to get used to solid food again and, really, you'll be much more comfortable in your lounge chair or on your sofa than in a cramped (sorry for the pun) airline seat.
Give yourself the chance to recover!

Probably. But she was nice enough to give me a chuckle.

I came out of my colonoscopy and there were 3-4 black dudes standing around me. I looked and one started laughing - he said "you were singing some damn good Al Green songs." The only problem was I can't sing shite when I'm not under anesthesia LOL

No one relishes it.
This a thing? Guys insecure about their manhood over a fricking colonoscopy?

You'll lose a couple of pounds over the 2-3 prep procedure, and your intestines will be as clean as the day before you were born (actually cleaner). If you want the truest weight you've ever taken, take it after the procedure but before you eat.

Second this. You do need a day afterwards. You're out for a short time - maybe 20 minutes? But you've fasted for 24 hrs or whatever your doctor/method prescribes, and you've restricted calories before that. No need to think the day after is a normal day.

Nope. You will feel fine. You will be a pound or two lighter as well.
I know several people who have died because of colon cancer. A colonoscopy screening would have caught it if done early enough.
I have had several done and believe me, it's nowhere as bad as some make it out to be.

You have to get an IV for the procedure?
Posted on 10/10/25 at 6:06 pm to Cell of Awareness

Follow the timeline and you’ll be fine.
