Despite TBob screaming that butt play is not gay I still am not relishing the concept here. Does the cleanout medicine keep working AFTER the colonoscopy? I have a flight soon after.

The worst part about the colonoscopy is the clean out stuff before. By the time you have the procedure if you follow the instructions, you are totally cleared out. The morning of and after the procedure is no issue. The anesthesia they use is awesome now. They put you under and then you wake up an hour or so later feeling like you had a nice nap. I had no nausea after and had a normal day by 930ish (procedure was at 630a).

Relax. Once you're cleaned out, it's done. The medicine doesn't keep making you shite once you eat again. They had me start counting backwards from 100 when they ran the propofol. Didn't even make it to 90, then woke up in recovery like I had never been asleep. The hardest part of the whole thing was going a day without eating.

After the procedure was over, I hit the first place I saw. Burger King never tasted so good

Damn! My guy started at 10. I think I made it to 6. It really was the best sleep ever.

The morning of prep eat 8 eggs cooked over easy in real butter. Take the motility pills drink MiraLAX mixed with Ernge Gatorade.

Stand by. Once you go twenty minutes later you are empty. It’s over. Nothing left.

It’s gets a lot of bad press. It’s not a big deal at all.

My only advice, the prep earlier than they tell you. I still felt like i had to poop in the waiting room a few minutes prior to being called back.

Haven't had a colonoscopy yet, did try the Cologuard tho. Was told my sample size was too big. Kinda hard to "pinch off" only 4 inches without some sort of mirror...

This was not at all my experience. I was fine. Just groggy for a bit.

I am dreading the prep.

It's not that bad, you'll just be hungry. Sipping some chicken broth helps.

After the first couple trips to the can it's all just straight liquid anyway. Get some wet wipes to spare your b-hole.

Make sure to use the lemon lime flavoring packet. When you finish a glass fill it up and put it in the freezer for the next round.

I chugged the entire glass in one gulp each time and it just tasted like old school gatorade.

You are allowed to drink apple juice while doing the prep. Slog down that nasty stuff with many lemon packets (Crystal Light) followed by a large glug of apple juice.

I sipped on black coffee and beef broth during my cleanse. But not 5min after drinking the broth, it was coming out the other end smelling just like it did when I was drinking it. To this day beef broth makes me gag.

My bit of advice is to start the prep earlier than recommended (3-4 hours earlier) so that you are done with the runs earlier, and can get a few hours of sleep before the procedure.

This is what I did. The worst part is the amount of water you have to drink. I ate pho broth before the deal, and steak and eggs after.

Get ready for the best sleep you have probably had in years.

The prep is not that bad, you'll pass most of what you have quickly. Don't get me wrong its not fun but its far from the horrors that it is comically made out to be.

The procedure is anticlimactic, they knock you out you wake up feeling great and they have you out of the place within a hour or so.
