No way I'm paying a parking ticket in Tulsa, OK if I am not there all the time. I was there in November and drove down the turnpike. I was in a hurry so just went through the fast pass portion of the toll booth even though I didn't have a pass.

I expected them to send me an invoice for the toll or something in the mail, possibly with a small penalty. The letter said hey you went through the wrong side, please don't do that again.

At least you only got an unenforceable ticket. My brother’s car got towed from a paid parking lot in Birmingham a few months ago from a space he had paid for. Apparently it’s a huge racket with this particular parking lot company and tow company there.

For Birmingham folks, he was eating at El Barrio and parked in a lot near there and paid through an app. He had to pay $200 to the tow company.

Hotel charges you $25 (splits with the lot owner), but can waive that fee if you get a ticket. Because they will get money when you pay (promptly) the lot owner $35 for your ticket

I would have tossed that shite in the trash and not given it another thought. Private meter maid companies and the like can suck it.

I got a ticket for rolling through a stop sign by a neighborhood security guard in Greystone (BHAM). I was in a company vehicle, otherwise, I doubt I would have even stopped. Anyway, I threw the ticket in the trash.
