Where is the best place to find dogs now a days? We’ve used Craigslist in the past however, they aren’t supposed to allow dog sales anymore.

Breeders are getting ridiculous with their prices. A Bengal Tiger is cheaper than some of these breeds.

Rescue shelters. We got a lab mix and he’s the best. Right now many of them are doing fostering bc the corona virus has them locked up and not getting out

Figure out what breed you want and find a rescue that has that breed.

Yeah, right now you’re best bet is the shelters.

Here in Houston we’ve seen a golden retriever and a GSP show up to the local shelter nearby and be put up for adoption. And they went quick!

I think a lot of lower income families are realizing they can’t afford their pets and are just dumping them. They need good families!

Ask on FB about any rescue groups in your area. There are lots of rescues in shelters and foster places. The Facebook Karen’s will love you for it.

Petfinder is a good website to start at as well. Can put in zip codes and breeds and they'll show you what dogs I'm the area match your criteria and are available for adoptions from a shelter or rescue.

follow “Who Rescued Who” on Facebook. That’s a great start. They are a fostering system that picks the best fosters and foster families. They have a ton of puppies right now.

I feel you on that. I'm gonna be in the market for a Great Dane pup in a couple months, so I started glancing at prices and my mouth dropped. Some are wanting 2500 for a pup.

Good Rescue Shelters / Humane Society's can also put you in contact with breed specific rescue centers if you are certain you only want a specific breed.

large breeds like Great Danes, bloodhounds, etc unfortunately are commonly abandoned to shelters. People get puppies and in a year all of a sudden they have a roommate instead of a dog

go to a Great Dane rescue site I guarantee you there is one up for adoption in your area
