Any suggestions where I can find a quarter zip pullover? I've looked at Orvis and REI. Orvis has really thin pullovers. Nothing appealed to me at REI.

I'm looking for something that's thick and has a quarter zip.

Thread of the year right here.

I especially liked your use of words and letters.

Golf store? I have a lot I play golf in but they are not very thick.

Maybe Academy sports if you're poor. Dicks has some decent stuff (North Face, etc).

My fav in my closet is a Victorinox. Something as simple as a Columbia are soft, warm and nice, though. Comfort and feel are more important than label, IMO.

Mountain Hardwear or Patagonia.

I've found that some fleeces feel thin, but are really warm especially if they are windproof.

If you want a thick wooly fleece, check out True Grit:

I checked them out in the store, but they were too thick.

I am more of a fleece vest guy. Layer a Goretex coat over a fleece vest and you will be fine for most Louisiana winters.
