20,000 votes in a day. At this rate, you might hit 100k.

Question: What are the Playoff Handicap Formula Votes? Ours is listed as 27,696. Vinny's is 1,304,574. What the hell do those numbers mean?

Yeah I'm getting between 20-25 a minute

it would be great to start tomorrow off with a lead instead of a 7k deficit.

IIRC, those projections were based on first round voting. I think we ended with like 3,500 or so last week, and Vinbot ended with like 20+ thousand. So they projected out for seeding purposes.
At least that's how I think bbap explained it to me.

i dont really know. i can only guess. Since they featured two tailgates each week some were on the site longer than others. We were one of the last ones.
So i think they took the votes from the week you were featured and used a formula to project how many you would have had if it was up as long as the original two tailgates featured.
But that was only used for seeding and they fricked that up anyway because we won our week and the guy we beat got a bye and we didnt.

no not last week. Vinny was on a bye last week. Regular season.

Playoff Handicap Formula
Each candidate’s total season votes will be factored in with their respective opportunity loss to output a final vote count. This factors in the votes lost for competitors entering the season at later weeks placing all candidates on an even playing field when determining their playoff seeds.

yeah I had to sit Vinny on my fantasy roster last week because of his bye. I plugged Hunter in and did OK.

As you can see our handicap was 27k votes and Terry from MSU was 19k. That's who we played in the regular season. And if you look at the bracket you see Terry got a bye whereas we had to play SMU in a wildcard round.
So for all their fancy formula work they still fricked up the seeding.

We hit 25k just before 3:00 AM (2:53 according to my bleary-eyed report). Now, we're on track to hit 50K by just after 3:00 PM. Granted that's probably a peak window for OT users, but it's still 25K in 11 hours--or over 2K per hour on average.

This is going to be boring when you only need to beat 11 votes.
