What i love about this jaguar is that it not only was able to get out of its enclosure but also get into and out of 3 other animals enclosures. It's the goddamn Houdini of animals.

If Valerio had whacked a human or two on his stroll, would that have been the death sentence?

There have been a lot of jokes about "it could have been me", but seriously, a big cat getting out of its enclosure is a huge threat

Pound for pound Jaguars are the meanest, nastiest cat there is. There have been instances of Jaguars taking on and killing lions weighing as much as 150 pounds more.

Those alpacas have probably been pissing him off for years, making dumb alpaca noises that he couldn’t get away from.

They don’t. A South American jaguar built a canoe and paddled all the way across the Atlantic just to kill a lion. That’s how bad those motherfrickers are.

This kind of stuff wouldn't happen if Ron Forman was paid a higher salary.

I think this is different. I worked at the zoo for a summer back in high school and the keepers really bond with their animals...even the ones they cannot touch directly (lions, tigers, bears...oh my).

They all have names, personalities, and bond with the keepers who provide them food, shelter, and interact with them nearly every day.

For those keepers who are tasked with caring for alpacas, emus, and foxes; it would be devastating to come to work and find out your animal had been mauled to death. Same for the jaguar keepers, as I am sure they played an accidental role in the jaguar escaping.

You know that Jaguar has been hearing and smelling those giant birds and plotting his escape since he arrived.

If it wasn't for the whiny people here in the U.S this could be avoided. In other countries they charge guests to throw a live chicken in with the big cats. It lets the cats get out their urge to kill stuff, feeds them for free and generates a frick ton of money.
