Fighting NOLA camera ticket?

Got a camera ticket for supposedly going 26 in a 20. Can I get out of this or am I fricked out of $75? My apartment has on street parking so no avoiding the eventual boot by just ignoring it.

How much is it for a new license plate?
Supposedly there is a boiler plate letter that people have sent with mixed results.
To get around that though NOLA has set up a kangaroo court and waste your time for a full day before likely finding you guilty.

Trust me, there is literally no way you win trying to fight it. You win by not paying it and making sure you don’t park on city streets. If you have to, hopefully your license plate gets stolen if you know what I mean.

Read the terms on the ticket. A lot of them are voluntary in some cities, states, etc.

I just got a notice saying my car is eligible for booting. I think it was the 4th notice. This is just about 9 months later.

Just pay it. It's not worth it. Especially if you have other tickets out. The stress/inconvenience of a possible boot and/or tow is not worth it.

In my experience, fighting a ticket is a waste of time. You may get lucky win, because they didn't show up or something like that...but is is usually their word against yours. In the case of camera tickets, I find it pretty hard to argue against and I wouldn't embarrass myself by contesting that.

A new license plate I believe was $25. This was about 2 years ago. If your license plate gets stolen just go get a new one and they won’t be able to boot you. They go by the plate.

If you want to get around it since you live there steal a license plate from a similar car and put it on your car.
