One is planned for Kennesaw, GA. That should work out well.

Kennesaw, GA been waiting for this since 1982.....

Gun Ownership - It's The
Law In Kennesaw

In 1982, the Kennesaw City Council unanimously passed a law requiring heads of households to own at least one firearm with ammunition.

The ordinance states the gun law is needed to "protect the safety, security and general welfare of the city and its inhabitants."

Then-councilman J.O. Stephenson said after the ordinance was passed, everyone "went crazy."

"People all over the country said there would be shootings in the street and violence in homes," he said. "Of course, that wasn't the case."

In fact, according to Stephenson, it caused the crime rate in the city to plunge.

Over a violent thug that got shot attacking a cop after attacking an Indian leprechaun?

America needs to hear, see and feel the voice and pain of the disenfranchised.

I agree.

However, I have a sneaking suspicion that the average local protester there has no clue what the facts of the case are, nor are they interested in learning them.

If they could have voted they aren't disenfranchised.

Agree, but they picked the wrong event. Just like they picked the wrong event with the Zimmerman case.

I feel bad for those non-whites (Mexican/black/whatever) that deep down believe that they are still the butt of America and looked down upon because the color of their skin, and that they are part of some new resurgence of the civil rights movement.

Disruptive and nonviolent aren't aren't going to happen at the same time with these protesters. They sure as hell didn't before and they won't now if it comes to it, but I don't think it will. The police presence and preparation are too great.

And who is disenfranchised? Why are they disenfranchised, and what does that broad political issue have to do with a cop shooting a guy in Missouri? They already proved what none of the so-called witnesses failed to mention - that Brown fought with the cop in his cruiser.

not necessarily Michael brown, but for the larger issues of police militarization and the systematic disenfranchisement of black life.

I also hope voter registrars come out there because that's the first place people can make a change. Their voting turnout this year was embarassing

Yep. They're just rooting for their side, as they see it. I swear I think these cases are hand picked. The facts of the cases are such that any thinking person will conclude that the shooter will be freed. The black folks just root for the black folks side. It's a farce. Just like OJ. They didn't think he was innocent. They were just rooting for their side.

Sorry but your lack of foresight and Empathy is representative of half of our countries problems with race.

Our regression in race relations is directly correlated to that as well. As a country, we suffer for it, and are not better for it.

How can we advance as a country with that type of pathetic attitude?

People scream for a more united nation, a nation of yesteryears where communties were tight-knit and protected each other and their kids. You're attitude is so far away from that and represents many of the reasons why we have incidents like this.

I've always said that getting white people to change their hearts and views on blacks and their plights will be better than any govt program or govt handout. And based off this board and its majority of southern, GOP, constituents, it seems like it will be an uphill battle.

I'd go a step further and say that most of the people who end up protesting aren't from Ferguson or even St Louis.
