The FBI arrested two men Thursday night accused of purchasing explosives they apparently planned to use during protests in Ferguson, Missouri, a law enforcement source told CBS News.
The men, who live in the St. Louis area, are allegedly members of the new Black Panthers. They were arrested as part of an FBI undercover operation near Ferguson and intended to use the explosives in pipe bombs, the source confirmed.

Are the polls open in Ferguson?

While it's good news that the FBI stopped a potential domestic terrorism event I am pretty interested in how exactly they determined these guys wanted to create pipe bombs. Did they entrap them or did the black panthers express interest in pipe bombs without any goading by federal agents?

Now reports are saying it wasn't explosives but a fraudulent gun purchase. And some type of FBI sting operation. I still say good for them. Crack down on violence. Protest all they want. Just do it peacefully and stay out of people's way.

It's both. They were under surveillance and tried to purchase guns for other people, but were arrested Thursday for attempting to buy explosives to use in pipe bombs.

No different than winning minds in foreign lands... Most indigenous folks want peace. It's the lunatic fringe influx that causes concern and drama.

I am hoping they have fully infiltrated those trash and have undercover agents, or informants, at the highest levels.
