My miscellaneous has been pending for 3 days. How long have others taken to have a decision?

I applied on 08/31 and my misc app still says pending, have no idea why.

Applied on August 31st, within two hours case was posted as not approved and stated to claim it on my homeowners insurance. That’s where it stands as today. I know people who were updated to miscellaneous approval of five hundred dollars and now have another miscellaneous pending. We all filled out the initial application the same way. It’s like there is no rhyme or reason to it.

I applied today and got denied in 30 mins.
The only thing under my application that qualifies me is that I'm out of utilities for a week

Someone I work with had said that you have to reapply after being initially denied. Not sure if accurate but I’d like to know if that is accurate.

Any attempt to re-apply again was met with “this address has already registered” or something like that.

I called this morning for generator reimbursement. Not sure if this is re-applying. I could sure use the $500.00 as well, this has cost us a ton of money.

My understanding is the generator reimbursement is for people who bought them for medical purposes.

Everyone I know that got it was a renter. Homeowners can’t get it from fema and their insurance. Tells you on their FAQ page that if you do it’s insurance fraud.

It's for anyone who needed one due to the lengthy electrical outage during extremely hot conditions. ( From Fema rep)

I’m a homeowner. I was denied then the miscellaneous popped up and 500 bucks was issued. I agree with others that say it’s no rhyme or reason, luck of the draw sorta thing.
I am confident everyone will get the 500 but after that, who knows. I am going to try to recoup my hurricane deductible.

It said I was denied because I have insurance. Nothing else has popped up since September 2nd when I filed.
