Sophomore year. I was on the second team defense playing safety. The running back/fullback on the first team O would eventually play for the Cardinals and Cowboys. I took him on straight on and got knocked on my arse. Blacked out for a good 3 seconds.

Hardest hit I took was in middle school
Paul Breaux vs Broussard Middle. I was a LB. Broussard runs a toss play and we knew it was coming. Unfortunately the kid running the ball for Broussard was Keiland Williams. He ran clean over my arse
.
That's when I knew I didn't want to get hit anymore so I started playing more basketball and baseball.

I played defense so i wasnt the one getting hit in school. But the fricking backyard games we had were brutal. Many a hard feelings followed for many weeks after these games.

As hittee, was knocked clean off my feet one night by a crack back, I was a freshman playing varsity outside LB in a 4-4 D. CB smoked me good, i saw my feet and landed on the top of my shoulders. As hitter, I’ve seen stars several times, been knocked temporarily deaf several times, hurt my shoulder n spring practice, broke some dudes ankle in Shreveport one night. The thing I remember most was the dallis grass on the practice field and god damned shin splints because the practice field was so hard.

I played Lacrosse, which is a more manly than football. I was doing some work in goal and took a 80mph lacrosse ball to the nether region. That is true pain
All I took from this is you weren’t athletic enough to play football or a real position in lacrosse, so they stuck you in goal. And you weren’t even athletic enough to do that. Congrats

Being the dumb arse freshman I was I would keep candy bars in my football pants and sneak a bite on occasion while being on sideline
WTF? Why?
Hardest I ever been hit playing football.. Was getting close lined out of my chair. Long story short, I had the ball and the dude on the other team was this dude who was about 3 or 4 years older.. And he was running at me and just decided to close line me.

LSU Spring Game 1994. 3s vs 3s. I'm at DE coming around the weak side untouched to the claim another easy sack on Tedrick Knightshead when LG Kris Perret knocked the ever-loving shite out of me on a blindside blocking scheme that I had never seen in HS.
Both of them are local attorneys now and I post on Tigerdroppings.

I never played a real down but I was definitely on his squad in 1994. I always tell a story about the time He helped me jump my car(1984 Chevette) after one spring practice. He was a Nice dude. We even had a 1 one 1 player development meeting(he did this with every single player on the roster).
Furthermore Gabe Northern and James Gilyard were absolutely awesome to us lowly walk-ons. My locker was next to Andre Lafleur(thus the L in my username). He was the biggest a-hole on the team.

Junior year of college running scout punt during last practice of the season. Coaches told dline to block the punt at all costs. Oline decided not to block anyone. I get the punt off and as my leg is extended I get high-lowed as well as someone up the middle full speed. Do a semi-somersault and slam to the turf. Coach asks if I'm ok then tell me do it again.

For me it was during the 4th quarter of a game during my senior year. It was a close game, and they were driving. Theyre on offense, the qb was a runner. I was chasing him as he ran all the way to one side of the field, and then switched directions and went the other way. Well, at some point in my pursuit, this mammoth of a man (our nickname for him during scouting was Big Earth. He was like 6'8 385 pounds, but he could move) came out of nowhere and blindsided me. When he hit me, I literally did a complete backflip. I still feel like I died and came back to life in that moment. From watching film, I literally laid there for like a full 10 seconds not moving an inch. I was able to eventually get myself up. And jog down the field to get ready for the next down. If I ever received a concussion during my football career, this was definitely it. I literally fell asleep on the field, woke up in a daze seeing stars and everything, and somehow finished the game. Looking back my coaches have to be dumb as hell for not pulling me out the game.
I later found out in a story from my parents that at my hit, the entire crowd went OOOOOO, and my mom let out an exremely loud, "DAMN! somebody got knocked the frick out!!!". It wasn't until I stood back up that she realized it was her own son.

Another story. I wasn't necessarily hit as hard, but it still hurt like a bitch. During my junior year I convinced my coach to let me play rb. Our team sucked, and it was the end of the year so coach didnt care. At the time I was 5'10 225, one of the strongest guys on team and I was convinced absolutely no one could tackle me. I just knew playing rb had to be easy. After all, all you had to do was stay low and keep your legs moving. Well, i get the ball and was met almost immediately, no big deal, I ran past that tackle. Then I got hit by someone else, in my legs, but I was still determined to not go down. Next thing I knew it was about 7 people all on me at once. I got picked up and slammed on top of my neck. Every bone in mt body felt like it was in pain. I was completely out of breath.
I went through all of that for a freaking 2 yard run. I gained an immense amount of respect for running backs from that point on. Never again did I ask to run the ball again.

Hardest, the QB had scrambled, and I was trying to post up in the end zone. He threw it high, I jumped stationary, caught it and got drilled. I don't remember anything about how I got to the ground, just that I wound up laid out without the ball.
The weirdest, I was playing LB. I caught an WR on a crossing route, but he was outside me, so I had to spin him down and wound up swinging behind him. His leg kicked up and his heel hit me directly in the butthole. I know it sounds impossible, but it landed hard and square straight between the cheeks, 100% hole.
It's the strangest pain I've ever had.

Freshman year of college. Went to tackle the RB and ended up getting low enough that his knee went into my head. Didn’t lose consciousness (that I remember) but when I stood up, everything was tinted green. Like someone adjusted the color knob on an old TV. The people in the stadium were green, the sky was green, the other team’s white jerseys were green...pretty sure I was concussed...made the tackle tho
