assault weapons.

What's the definition of this?

Traditionally it's been a semi automatic rifle with a detachable magazine having a capacity of more than 10 rounds.

The term "assault weapon" needs to be phased out.

I think Fed-Ex used the term "assault weapon" perfectly in this instance. An AR15 is not an assault weapon.

Same reason why random companies have ties with AAA.

They're giving incentives to an organization with millions of members.

precisely. Same reason tons of places give discounts to military also, get a huge group and give them small discounts for their business that will lead to larger profits overall.

It's a pussy cop out statement. Have more respect for any business that goes either way wholeheartedly.

How does a publicly traded company even come up with a position on guns? Is it the Board of Directors that takes a vote? Is it the marketing department? Do they survey the employees? Do the stock holders vote?

smh

I would love a company like this to just respond "We are a large company filled with many people of independent, diverse thought. We therefore don't see a reason to take an official position on political matters. Thank you for your business."

I don’t have respect for a shipping company that takes a stance on anything other than how they can more optimally get a package from point A to point B.

Seriously, the opinion of a company, whatever that even means, is meaningless.

FedEx understands the value of customer retention.
What business model would support pissing off half your customer base just to grand stand?

We’re talking about a company that moves boxes one place to another. Who gives a shite?
