I will ask my doctor for the benefits of utilizing this methodology to treat my IBS, or maybe just use fecalal matter from my wife lol

Today’s data show that fecal transplants cure 80 percent to 90 percent of patients with recurrent C. diff infections and doctors across the globe have accepted them as a legitimate medical treatment
quote:
The procedures are not covered by most insurance, leaving the cost—which runs to several thousand dollars—to hospitals or patients. Some patients have resorted to do-it-yourself fecal transplants using a family member’s stool, a blender, and an enema bottle, but physicians strongly discourage this due to the risk of unknown infections.

Not sure how a fecal transplant would help with IBS.
IBS is not a stool composition issue.

I think it's a good thing in general as knowledge around the microflora in the gut expands and we learn more about what they do and what they are capable of.
But holy shite do they need to work on the marketing.

If you have been with your wife longer than 6 months or so, you both basically have the same feces
