Cases? How are hospitalizations looking?

It quit being about his as soon as it was realized hospitals would never, ever, be overwhelmed outside of NYC

You referring to Latoya or JBE? I doubt we will approach the numbers we did last winter and we didn't shut down. If you are talking about Latoya and NOLA, I wouldn't bet against it.

the % positive has steadily been around 10% for awhile now. they just tested almost 20k people since yesterday. More tests = more positive cases but the % positive isn't really spiking.

They won't mention that in the article.

why do you care if you are vaccinated?

Well I don't care a whole lot, but I am annoyed that we will likely go back to restrictions, vaccinated or not.

Would love to see the RSV numbers. Have several close friends and family recently hit with that. Put one child I know in the hospital.

RSV

In regards to kids, this is much riskier and much more of an issue at the moment.

I don't doubt this at all. There were always going to be ebbs and flows. The virus won't be eradicated. We are in bounce from the holiday weekend. Will probably subside in a few weeks.

Unfortunately, that isn't how this works and you know it.

The goal posts shift. If cases are going up they will reinstitute restrictions

That's why just looking at numbers is dumb. We have a widely available vaccine now, that's the difference. If cases are going up but not hospitalizations or deaths then it's largely not an issue.

hmm not sure what you saw but it was 454 or so yesterday, 468 today. You must have clicked on an old link from your history that hadn't refreshed or something strange like that

Haven’t seen a positive kid in probably 3 months, personally.
