You going Holistic Medicine and Organic Vegan now?

Not vegan but I have been getting back on track with cutting out processed crap as much as possible. I gained a lot of weight when I moved back to Louisiana from Cali. A few months ago I decided to cut the crap food out yet again. Cut sugar out almost 100% and had headaches the first few days of doing so. Really scary how your body reacts to the shite we put in it.

BTW, I firmly believe there is large benefits to holistic living after seeing my dad last 18 months fighting cancer when he was initially told he only had 30 days. He cut all sugar out, juiced carrots daily, etc. The doctors told him he was a walking miracle. They said they had never seen someone in his condition, with cancer he had, reach the point of being cancer-free like he did. There was a period of 5 or 6 months where he was cancer-free. Sadly, he had Small cell lung cancer which is very aggressive and has no known treatments but like I said the best cancer Drs at MD Anderson were amazed.

ETA: I realize the above is anecdotal. Just sharing anyway.

Yeah, how crazy is that! It even has Food in the name and they still can't do a simple pyramid!

Apparently only if you keep up with your boosters every 6 months. Even then, we still don't have the data on how much of a difference it makes unless I missed it.

Hell, we just found out like 3 weeks ago that you can still get Covid once vaccinated. Remember when that goalpost was moved and we started shutting shite down again?

We knew there were breakthrough cases back in January. Just didn't know what extent.

Pneumonia is more deadly to your age group, but I'm sure you'll still get harrased by folks looking to signal their virtue on the board.

Exactly. Im at more risk of dying from dozens of things than I am covid. Im not just anti-vax either. I convinced both my parents to get it. Im just anti putting something in my body that I dont need. I dont even eat processed foods.

Again, the vaccine will not keep you from getting Covid anyway.

But it has a stupidly high rate of keeping the infection in the mucosal regions as it provides almost perfect sterilizing immunity in the blood. The chance of having issues down the road from a COVID infection go up significantly from a systemic infection.

why wouldn't you take a wait-and-see approach if you are low risk? Especially with a virus with such a low mortality rate.

I don't think you are really asking why wouldn't I since I was vaccinated as soon as it was open to everyone. As for the more likely question I don't have an issue with people's own cost-benefit analysis (outside of public policy implications). I can see how people can logically come to either choice, that said I think many people on both sides are not making a medically-based choice but making it partly or solely on other factors.

If you can't see the logic in both sides for even a 22yo elite athlete then you are very poor at taking up a devil's advocate approach. Both sides have a logical approach to the choice, if you only see one then something is providing the blinders.

Sure. I can only speak for myself but what other factors do you assume are affecting people's decisions? I know what mine are. Just curious as I see so many people stereotype and ignore any legit reasons for concerns.

I didn't discourage my 65 year old mother from getting it. To me, the potential benefit for her at the time outweighed the risk when all factors were considered.

I am being obtuse for the so-called 22-year-old athlete when considering the data we currently have. I can't come to any logical conclusion for such a person to take the vaccine.

You are confusing the CDC with the FDA

Interesting.

Do you have children?

You may want to weigh what you do without thinking on a daily basis vs this C19 vaxx red meat.

But once it’s gotten full FDA approval, and now the feds and the pharm companies are on the hook legally, I no longer get the hesitancy.

Rantadine
Talcum Powder
J&J hernia mesh
Xarelto and bleeding.
Januvia and Victoza and pancreatic cancer..
Pradaxa and bleeding.
Onglyza and heart failure.

They all had FDA approval until, whoops, “you might wanna get a lawyer”.

I’m not taking a side, but to say that FDA approval is the thing that should remove skepticism or fear is naive.
