....while the UAW is in the middle of labor contract negotiations with Ford and General Motors.

It is a joint raid between the FBI, the IRS and the Department of Labor's Office of Inspector General, the FBI reported, and was among several being conducted across the country on Wednesday.

Raids were also conducted at the Black Lake Retreat in Chedoygan and at the Corona, California home that is believed to belong to former UAW President Dennis Williams.

The raid is being carried out at what is believed to be at the home of UAW President Gary Jones.

UAW leadership is about the worst you can get these days....but the timing of this is rather interesting.

Generally speaking, these types of raids should have started about a hundred years ago.

Better late than never?

Agreed. But the IRS and FBI aren’t exactly honest, non-political organizations either.

The workers needed unions 100 years ago, there were no safety standards, no age limits in workers, and the workers were taken advantage of.

Today not so much.

I have no problem with a local union for a privately owned company. These can still be needed in certain circumstances.

Large national unions and public sector unions are more harm than good by a wide margin.

Unions are no longer useful, they are just an institution that takes money and wastes it, just like the govt.

If you read the UAW comments they sppear aware of whatever they are going after so I doubt it is FISA.

I wasn’t saying that it was a FISA warrant. I was really talking shite about the FISA court in general. Can’t imagine how the founding fathers would’ve felt about a secret court at any level of government much less the leviathan known as the federal government.

A lot of that still happens today. Safety at a lot of smaller plants is pretty abysmal.

FISA warrants have a much, much higher bar to clear to get approved than a standard warrant.
