We can expect a lot more of this in the near future.

Eventually a big one is gonna sneak through.

When is the last time you were physically on Bourbon St?

Just curious, because I work in the city and we can’t get a Fire truck down Bourbon without a code at canal and a special key wrench at each corner, either direction.
There are also barriers at every cross street that will be closed.
State Troopers, NOPD and National Guard stationed at each block.

What is your definition of “wide open”?

I don't think I'll ever go to a soft-target large gathering again, like NYE outdoors in a crowded space, partially because of shite like this. In that sense, terrorists have won.

Same, but not because of terrorists. I just hate being around that many people

I would expect New Orleans security to be out in full force this New Years.

NYE in New Orleans this year should be one of the safest places on Earth.

Key phrase- "should be". But with that leadership, who knows.

That's why I said "partially because"

I have no desire to anyway, but should there be a time I do desire to do it, I probably won't because of this kind of shite.

Feet on Bourbon has probably been two months.

Cross it every couple weeks driving. Usually down Iberville or Conti. I haven't entered from Canal in years.

Also time of day may matter. The time I pass through is around 5pm or so. I haven't been down there at night in a while. This past Thursday there were a lot of high school fans out around that time.

Restrictions from Canal to say St Philip....

Allow deliveries/maintenance access 8am-2pm; Bourbon closed to street traffic other than that.
Close cross streets no later than 4pm; isolate on side streets
Hard barricades in place no later than 4pm

Well aware.

You already can't drive or park on Bourbon at night. Residents that have private garages in those 8 blocks could easily be given a pass that allows for access. Royal and Dauphine will still not be impacted with shutdowns. Dozens of access routes around the blocks.

Probably just prescribe the entire liberal agenda.

Pro-palestine is hot right now so it gets tossed in. Their base business is likely just general anarchy.
