Think the old man was a pedophile.

Used to get my hair cut at Broadmoor Barber Shop next to Broadmoor Theater and shop at I.H. Rubenstein’s there as well. Get a chopped beef at Nooley’s.

My parents number at SFCC was 38 and the men’s lounge had a popcorn machine. Used to have dinner in the dining room and watch the 4th fireworks.

Same! I'm having visions of the virgin daiquiris and snack bar burgers... and having to call my mom to pick us up if it was closed for lightning.

I used to hunt golf balls during the week at SFCC and go to fairway #4 and sit under a willow tree and wait for the golfers to come and buy them. I had some good customers! This was in the 70's. Playing ball at Sharp Road Park was fun. My mom lived in the same house on Sheraton for 50 yrs ending this year. Good memories! Riding our bikes up to Baskin Robbins to get ice cream on a summer day. Pak-a-Sak up at Little John and Florida was a winner. Steak and Ale when I got older!

That was Mr. Fruge. He sold pianos or had a piano repair business. Can’t remember which.

Used to ride my bike to the K&B, or the aquatic club.

Also the st Thomas more fair. Also riding my bike around the st Thomas more campus, traversing all the narrow passageways and nooks and crannies.

We played against Dick Howell Realty there when Mark Howie was pitching. We hung out at Pak-A-Sak at Lobdell and Jefferson. BBQ beef sandwich for $.50 were great and the original Icee.

Mr. Penniman who owned them turns 93 this month. Great guy.

China Express in that area had the only true Cantonese style food. Great eats and I think the owner's name was Nelson.
