93-95

Sports, Murphy's were the top 2. Varsity on certain nights.

The Tiger Den or Tiger Bar? Can't remember the exact name. It was the purple building just over the tracks. They were popular because of quarter drafts when my brother spent his one semester there a year or two earlier. It went down quickly when another bar started doing nickel drafts.

There was another building that went through many changes next to that one. They were the bar that did nickel draft. I think at one point it was a Senor Frogs. I want to say the name started with an "N" but I don't remember. Spent a lot of time there due to nickel draft.

Sports was really the one I spent the most time in by far over my two years.

We went to the strip often in college. Makos, Nitecaps, The Keg were all great places ~94.

What years? I was a regular, 91-96 or so.

I worked at the Tiger from the day it opened until 90-91 I think. I left Baton Rouge in Feb 92 so I may have still been stopping there for a drink

Tommy who ran the place was a great guy and loved the money but hated the aggravation of having to check ID's of the college kids

Tommy used to pay me $5/hr plus all the drinks I could handle. I fell off the stool outside the door on more than 1 occasion.

I spent many nights at the Happy Note, The Tiger, Sports, Snorkel's, and the Texas Club. 1991-1995

It used to be Earline's Alligator Hilton. The bathroom had holes in the floor and you could see the ground. It was hard for them to level the pool tables because the floor varied about 6" in height from end to middle to end.

The Country place was called Ruth's Country Place. It was a biker bar but nobody bothered you unless you acted like a jackass.

Bogie's was called Tomorrow's. It always had a bunch of drunk girls. I saw a bunch of drunk guys jump on a big guy named Van in there one night. He ended up beating up almost everyone in the bar. He threw them all around like children.

The Bayou, The Library, Fap's and Zachary's always had a lot going on.

Spent the most time in Brightside, then Fred's while I was in school. Was pretty much at one or the other literally every night from 02-09 (minus Katrina years). After I graduated, Ivars and ZeeZees
