William Demastes, English. He taught the 4000 level Shakespeare class and made it fun. We did a scene reenactment as our final grade in celebration of the Bard's birthday. He also ended class on funny notes often, such as remarking that "Guys want a girl who will go fishing and hunting, isn't afraid to get dirty, watches football, etc. Girls want a guy who won't complain about shopping, seeing chick flicks, etc. Basically, guys want to date guys and girls want to date girls. You're all gay!" Also saw him at baseball games a lot so A+

I had him too, he was awesome!

Favorite: Lyman Hunt - His lectures were great. Really cool guy to talk to.

Least Favorite: Gwen Zwyicke - Not a hard class. She's just a horrible person.

Good to see that neither were professors that applied to my major

The name Bill Grimes comes to mind since you mentioned the bass.

I took Grimes class too, it definitely wasn't him. This guy played electric bass (actually maybe it was jazz guitar). He was kind of chubby white dude, wore glasses and had wavy hair.

Best was hands down Sauley. Who loves ya?? My Calc teacher my first semester was also awesome; Kevin Zito.

Someone mentioned Sheldon Lotten for Spanish. I hated that man. I waited until my senior year to take my required foreign language (dumb move on my part, yes). I hadn't taken Spanish since I was a sophomore in high school so saying I was a bit rusty was an understatement. They stuck me in the intermediate level class because I had taken two years in high school. They man sends out a welcome to his class email in all Spanish. I knew at that moment I was fricked. I sat in the back and didn't ever speak in class because he wouldn't let you talk unless you could respond in Spanish, so my participation grade was shite and pulled a C out of my arse

He was a great guy and good teacher, he always stayed late or helped out students who needed it. He also played piano and jazz bass and would do mini concerts/ jam sessions in class. It was awesome.

I got it. His name was John Bishop, he played jazz guitar. I don't think he's at LSU anymore.

Favorite: I forgot his name, but he taught Greek Mythology in the big auditorium in Lockett. I took him in the late 90's so he is likely dead now. I actually looked forward to his lectures

Dr Cooper by far was my favorite for Antebellum South History. The man could rock a bow tie.

Applin for speech was cool too and Roider was the man

Schirling, he died of cancer. He was an amazing guy. He used to travel to the Vatican in the summer and search for ancient manuscripts. He also taught Latin, and knew ancient Greek as well.

Favorite: Debbie Heroman for ELRC or Chanda for Econ

Worst: some pregnant Asian woman that taught urban economics. Don't even remember her name, but hopefully she doesn't work at LSU anymore.

Greg Veeck geography, his dad planted the ivy at wrigley, his brother or uncle (don't remember exactly) did disco inferno night at some minor league field.

He was absolutely hilarious, and very nice.

My least favorite was Professor Kirby-Smith. She hated men, was a terrible writer teaching a class on how to write, and attempted to fail me because I asked for an extension to revise a paper, and she gave an approval which she forgot about. I said I was filing a complaint and had witness statements, and she attempted to use her position and name to bully me into taking half credit. In the end, the dumb bitch filed the complaint on herself out of either spite or a misplaced superiority complex.

The entire class torched her evaluations that semester and I saved/submitted all the emails where she harassed me.

You won't find her at LSU anymore.

I remember her. I had her for English 1001 back in '10. She always seemed really dull, but she liked my essays so IDGAF.

Favorite was either Dottie Vaughn, McKillop in Anthropology, or Dotson in History 2057.
