There is a very small vocal group of people on Twitter/X that are passionate about bringing back masks mandate.
These people are freaking out and thinking that every running nose, coughing, congestion is undiagnosed COVID, and that every COVID infection can lead to debilitating 'long COVID' that damages arteries, brain cells, causing AIDS, and reduced sperm count.
While their posting is amusing... You can see how social media algorithms are driving these people to others with similar paranoia and fueling their irrational delusions.
Which makes it fun to mess with them... Either by agreeing and further echoing their delusions or doing the opposite...

I am adult so it didn't effect me (and I knew it was bullshite then) but this policy ruined so many kids senior year (including mine). No proms, no ring ceremonies no fun senior year activites....and for what???NOTHING.

THIS. I quickly learned who was and wasn't willing to question "authority" and it changed my close friends circle. If you aren't able to say "I don't think this is right..." then I don't need to be around you.
A close friend of mine is a M.D. and a Senior Medical Officer at DHS. I called him a week into the whole lockdown. He said: "It is insane what is happening up here (DC). Get ready." He knew early on that the Lockdown, the Social Distancing and the Masks were overreach and said so. He got soundly thumped by his colleagues and it impacted his career.
