This is one of the main reasons why I can't stand the EBR school system. When my son was starting school (he wasn't even 6 yet) they wanted him to catch a bus at 6am to go to the bus transfer station to get on yet another bus to take him to Broadmoor Elementary for speech. I told them frick that, no way. He went to his neighborhood school (Shenandoah) and the speech therapist had to come to him. They just didn't want to be inconvenienced.

I would love for Nakamoto(sp?) to go under cover at the BR bus transfer here in EBR. Outside of probably getting pick pocketed by a student, I guarantee you he will see at least one assault per day while hanging out. Even the asst. principals and teachers are intimidated to draw duty there.

The school is responsible. Depending on the age of the child, it is their fault. I gather this is a 5 year old, so yes, it's the school's fault.

We need to stop sending kids to Schools outside their neighborhood. Kids go to school where they live,. Period

Happened to a coworker's grandson. They dropped the 6 year old off like 2 miles from his house. Parents were absolutely panicked. He got picked up at the damn Home Depot parking lot when someone realized that he was lost.

Well, in this case, it is absolutely the schools fault. You sound like the fat lady in the beginning of the video who immediately tries to shift blame to the bus people.
And not to mention, this has been an issue with the same kid multiple times. The guy is justifiably angry. You release your kids to the custody of the school everyday and should expect some sort of protection for your child provided by the school.

I disagree in this situation. It seems like all school administrations care about is not looking bad. Something happens, it's not about "making sure it doesn't happen again", it's more along the lines of "let's make sure this don't get out". I bet they will make sure they don't lose his daughter again.

Oh they deserve an arse chewing. Maybe not in the middle of the hall though. Losing your temper doesn’t yield the results you are looking for most of the time. It’s like carpet bombing versus a precision missile.
You want to to make a scene, hoot and holler and cuss with all sorts of kids around...sure you may get some perfunctory results.
You want some real changes though? Chew them out in a conference room without screaming and then Tell them they’ll behearig from your lawyer. And the local news
