Fatal Helicopter Crash in Iowa

IOWA, La. (KPLC) - Officials say three people are dead after a helicopter crash near Iowa. We received reports Friday evening of a helicopter crash on Hecker Road north of Iowa. Chief Phillip Keller confirms LeBleu Ward 8 District 2 Fire Department firefighters are currently at the scene. Calcasieu Sheriff Stitch Guillory confirms three fatalities, a male, female and infant.

Damn that is terrible. Any news on who the family is? That small of a community I’m sure it is someone everyone knows.

I haven’t hear who the family is that passed. It seems like everyone already knows though. There aren’t that many people in that area that own helicopters. Terrible news. Makes me hold my family even closer. Life is precious and short.

One of my best friends is in Iowa. I’m sure I’ll hear something from him soon. It crushes me when an infant passes at anytime but an entire family is so tragic.

Yeah if it's not someone who owns it, who was getting a joy ride in a helicopter in the early Friday morning?
I mean in infant was on board, too. So strange/sad.

It happened last night and from what is being said on social media, the family had flown over to Pat’s of Henderson to have dinner and the crash happened on the way back.
