Like, ever?

You just got up off the sofa, put your Pop-Tart down, and knocked out some sub-7's?

I've never timed my fastest mile, but in the military my PT (1 1/2 miles) was 8:43...I weighed 142 lbs

My best treadmill time is 4 miles in 30 minutes (I never really push it on the treadmill)

The furthest I've run is 26.2 miles in 5 hours, I took a 35-40 minute break to add bandaging/support for my foot bruise and I had to toenails coming off...shortly after two more came off (I posted the disgusting pics on TD)then I stretched and took a walk before continuing (I have no clue how I mustered the energy for the last 6 miles)

typically, I run about 3.25 to 3.5 depending on how I feel. that is a 30 minute run. I'm admittedly out of shape. 5'10 3/4 and 173 lbs as of this morning.

Haha. It's ok, I have no intention of challenging you as I have no desire to run a mile.

I've beat you enough....

I want to say that there was at least a 3 year gap between me running a mile and running that 5k

I think just fact that im 40lbs heavier alone would make it very difficult. its not fat by any means but i have also added another 5 years of drinking/partying to my hiatus. I hadnt run one stitch in 5 years when that video was taken. It has now been 10 years

5:56 was the fastest ever for me, when I ran track it would be around 6:20 or so--

now-- shite-- 10/12 minutes? who knows. I'll test it out one day.

4:45 mile, 10:56 2 mile, 16:14 3 mile CC all in high school. Longest I ever went was 20, now probably would stop at 5. Funny, I used to love running, it was like therapy, not so much anymore.

One of my best friends was a college swimmer and for the longest time after his career was over he didn't touch a swimming pool

It was amazing the amount of time he put into it growing up through high school and then in college.

i despised running. Started at a very early age and was very talented so kind of forced into it by everyone around me. My whole life growing up was devoted to it. My weekends. My summers. Everything. I quit trying after my freshmen year when my older brother graduated but kept going through the motions to keep the peace. I didnt even run my senior year which i would have been favored at state.

damn that's crazy

yeah my buddy had pretty much all the honors...I think he enjoyed it for the most part, but he would swim for 4 hours a day, 2 before school, 2 after. I could tell it wore him down but he knew it would pay off.

Just imagine if you actually enjoyed running

I know when i was 10 everyone was sure i was going to olympics. Its so hard to walk away with that pressure. I was a phenomenal 10 year old runner. 5 min mile at 10. 37:14 10k at 10. Then i found girls, alcohol, and weed and wondered why the hell i was running
