Depends on which place you go. The Wendys on one side of town is super clean with great people, and the one on the other side of town is a joke.
I always go in to get food though.

BK's shake machine is always out of service. BS...you cleaned the machine before you closed, so you can get home earlier.

The best is Wendy's. They are so fast. And get the order right.
The 2 worst are Popeye's and Rally's.
Regardless of how bad/slow they are, I love Popeye's chicken, so I would never stop going there.
Rally's hires the people who McDonalds won't hire.

When one is invited over there, it is rude to not accept. Unless one speaks and reads Japanese, travel with someone who does.

People go into Popeyes with the wrong mindset. It is a "quick service restaurant", not a fast food restaurant. It takes them 12 minutes to fry a round of chicken. Id much rather wait a few minutes for fresh food then get some old shite.
Now the attitudes of the employees are a different story. But this problem seems to be mostly in BR and NOLA. Like mentioned in this thread, the MS Gulf Coast has great Popeyes

KFC in the mountains of VA has good service.
