Break out the space heaters, umbrellas, and warm socks, because the Southeast will see below normal winter temperatures with an unseasonable chill reaching as far south as the Gulf Coast, with above-average precipitation.

And for parts of the western Great Lakes, eastern Great Plains, and points south, including Arklatexoma (where Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma abut), be prepared for wide swings in the weather pendulum, from very warm to very cold, and periods of tranquil conditions mixed with occasional spells of tempestuous weather.

Favorite time of the year!

This basically covers all the scenarios. What a bold prediction

I love the cold weather. Give me a flannel, jeans, boots, grilling and a little college football on TV in heaven please.

That’s at our ranch 20 miles from Baffin Bay this last winter.

That’s a place that does not see much snow.

Anyone that takes the Farmers Almanac seriously should be also checking their horoscope daily, avoid breaking mirrors, and on the lookout for 4 leaf clovers.

I don’t know if I can handle another winter like the last one. It’s great for folks in houses on slab but for those of us with raised houses that were built when Theodore Roosevelt was in office, shite is miserable.
