I dont know exactly where it was, but I do know Tennessee Williams was a regular there. Once he was at a bar chatting up a French sailor who told him a story about one of his ship's passengers, who began raving that her cousin had been murdered and cannibalized. Eventually she had to be locked in her cabin.
TW would combine this story with that of his sisters lobotomy to write the play Suddenly, Last Summer.
